LG SL80 and SL90 LCD TV

LG new SL-series LCD TV are remarkable because of their “uniform” design makes the bezel, LCD screen and speakers all look like one piece. The 47-inch LED-backlit SL90 is a refresh rate of 240Hz.

Taking up only 1.15-inches thick in the department, the SL90 is also a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio and an ambient light sensor for the dynamic adjustment of brightness. The SL80 nixes LED backlighting, clippings 150,000:1 contrast ratio and fattens up 1.8-inches thick, all in an effort to reduce costs. But given that LG has not released pricing or availability for the SL90, it is not known exactly how much money is saved.

Kodak release the new HD camcorder Zi8 ultra-portable, which is a successor of the Zi6 and Zx1. The Zi8 has a larger screen 2.5-inch LCD with face recognition, an image stabilizer, and a 1080p HD recording.

Users can also download photos directly to YouTube and Facebook. In addition, the camcorder has a flip-USB arm to connect to a computer. Available in blue, red and black, the Kodak Zi8 will be published in September 2009 for USD 179.
